Alarmed

A React Native alarm clock where each alarm is gated by a mission the user must complete to dismiss it. Shipping it required real OS-level alarms rather than scheduled notifications, so I built react-native-alarm-scheduler, an open-source Expo module that wraps iOS AlarmKit and Android AlarmManager behind one typed API.

Alarms fire through AlarmKit on iOS 26+ and AlarmManager.setAlarmClock on Android, so they ring through silent mode and survive app termination. Dismissal is gated by a mission state machine with mission chains of up to three per alarm and a wake-up checkup that re-arms a second alarm. Subscriptions run through RevenueCat with monthly, annual, and lifetime tiers, and the alarm layer was extracted into react-native-alarm-scheduler on npm so the same native scheduling now serves other React Native and Expo apps.
